R & R

Since I'm a tad fatigued this weekend, but wanted to post, I'll just share some more snaps from the photo shoot I did a couple years ago for my Spring is for the Birds post. I remember it was my first post using Picasa, teaching myself how to make collages. It took hours! And sadly, I hadn't yet learned how to use borders, colors, spacing, cropping, etc. (And anymore I just use individual shots to save time.) Hope these photos are somewhat soothing after this unforgettable week!

That's a blue jay feather on the saucer.

What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long;
    we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:31-39

Take a deep breath, and have a great weekend like the conqueror you are!

  1. Good morning, Bess,

    Who needs Picasa when you already have the perfect pictures! The sunlight streaming in through the window and onto your pretty table setting is sweet and serene! Thanks for sharing!

  2. Hi Bess,
    I'm so glad I had time to come visit you. What great photo's you have here. I too was struggling to make the best photo's to blog and it cost me buying a new camera to do so. The funny part is, I love most of my photo's untouched. But, I'm learning all kinds of new skills but wont change too much. I love your photo's. Each one is soft and touching. I must say I'm impressed with your wonderful books. My hubby and I are so interested in the birds..we provide shelter, fresh water and food. Life is wonderful. Enjoy the week to come..
